Maserati appointed Official Supplier to Barclaycard Mercury Prize

LONDON -- September 11, 2014: – Last night Maserati helped the Barclaycard Mercury Prize celebrate the announcement of its shortlist for the prestigious 2014 Album of the Year in London’s Covent Garden as the luxury Italian car manufacturer is named ‘Official Supplier’ to the Barclaycard Mercury Prize.

A fleet of stunning new Maserati Quattroporte models drove the evening’s presenters, performers, judges and other shortlisted artists to the star studded music event at the well-known Hospital Club.

As part of Maserati’s role as Official Supplier, the luxury Italian car maker will also be responsible for driving the music industry’s hottest talent to the Awards Show at the Roundhouse on the 29th October.

Peter Denton, Region Manager Maserati North Europe, said: “Maserati is Official Supplier to the Barclaycard Mercury Prize for the first time in 2014. In a period of growth for Maserati, through the launch of the Ghibli and Quattroporte models, we are delighted to have the opportunity to create new partnerships that introduce Maserati to new audiences, particularly through established and prestigious events such as this.”

Previous winners of the Barclaycard Mercury Music prize include James Blake in 2013 with the album ‘Overgrown’, Alt-J in 2012 with the album ‘An Awesome Wave’ and PJ Harvey in 2011 with the album Let England Shake.
