WOLFSBURG, GERMANY -- March 9,2015: The new “CeBIT Navigator App” from Volkswagen allows users to find the fastest way to CeBIT, the world’s largest and most international computer expo which takes place from 16 to 20 March. If a user is planning a journey to the exhibition area, the app assesses the current traffic situation in Hanover and shows all the means of transport available including Volkswagen’s “Quicar” car sharing service, trams and buses. The user can then compare the various routes and travel times as well as the cost of the different means of transport.

“With the ‘CeBIT Navigator App’,Volkswagen is presenting for the first time a mobility app that groups together all the key traffic parameters of a city, offering users the highest possible flexibility,” explains Anders-Sundt Jensen, Head of Marketing Communications, Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand. “The information required can be called up easily on a smartphone.The app is a digital traffic planner that takes into consideration allthe individual mobility wishes of its users. In fact it is the perfect companion not just for visitors to CeBIT but for anyone travelling in Hanover,” Jensen adds.

Other features of the mobility app include push messages with up-to-date traffic news and a memory function to save the routes and means of transport used.

The CeBIT Navigator App developed byVolkswagen in cooperation with start-up allryder can be used with the iOS andAndroid operating systems and isavailable for downloading with immediate effect.
