Pango: MainStreet Beta Program Launches in 15 US Cities

New app helps consumers park more quickly and save money downtown

NEW YORK -- April 22, 2015: Pango Mobile Parking today announced the launch of the Pango: MainStreet beta program across 15 major US cities. The new program, rapidly expanding to more cities across the US, brings new customers to downtown businesses by connecting drivers to businesses and by helping them find on street parking more quickly.

Pango: MainStreet is a new app that personalizes the consumer's driving experience in a downtown area. Pango kicked off the beta program today in Alexandria, Auburn, Baltimore, Dallas, Harrisburg, Latrobe, Los Angeles, Mount Vernon, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Rochester, San Antonio, Scranton, Wilkes-Barre and New York City.

"Parking more quickly, and saving money are two factors that every consumer considers," said Neil Edwards, President of Pango. "The Pango: MainStreet app has been designed with this in mind to make driving easier, and connecting drivers with bargains offered by local businesses."

Pango: MainStreet provides three features to help consumers find parking and special deals at businesses that they may want to visit on Main Street USA:

Parking Navigation Drivers can enter their destination, then the new Pango MainStreet will show and navigate them through a route where parking is most likely available on the street. Pango is mapping the streets of our Beta Cities over the next few months using patented technology for parking navigation. Residents in Alexandria, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Washington, DC, and more will notice the Pango car surveying their streets in the coming months.

Parking Validations If Pango is one of the parking payment methods, businesses or cities will be able to compete with shopping malls and their free parking. Pango MainStreet allows businesses to provide on-street parking validations to drivers Where and When they want. The driver can find Where Validated (free) parking is offered within the App and after receiving the validation from the business or city enjoy validated parking instead of paying for parking.

Shopping Coupons Businesses can self publish coupons for their local business in the Pango: MainStreet app. These coupons will be shown only to drivers who park near to where the coupon may be redeemed. The company will be rolling this feature out over the summer across the Beta cities.

"We launched the parking validation coupon LUVHBG giving visitors 4 hours of free parking in downtown Harrisburg on Saturdays," said Mayor Eric Papenfuse. "We have experienced over 55 new visitors each Saturday parking in our downtown using LUVHBG since the April 4 launch."
