AMARILLO, TX -- July 24, 2015: Construction tools and equipment are notoriously vulnerable to theft, a reality that motivated experienced contractor Eddie Vazquez to innovate his own solution – a durable steel theft deterrence anchoring system called the P-Locks. Seeing its practicality and versatility in action, Vazquez's plan now is to bring the product to market, starting with a Kickstarter campaign. More information about the P-Locks is available at P-Locks.

The goal of the Kickstarter is to raise $10,000 for the full production and retail launch of P-Locks. Campaign supporters will be the first to receive the product once it's ready for market.

"We chose the name P-Locks because the anchors resemble the letter P," remarks Vazquez. "Plus, 'P' can stand for 'protection,' 'portability' and, most of all, 'peace of mind.'"

P-Locks is portable, strong and low impact. It's a breeze to set up because it requires no tools. The patent-pending design features 8-inch handles for driving the coils into the ground. Ideally, the two coils should be 12 inches apart to avoid soil disruption and create a larger holding area. The entire P-Locks mechanism is comprised of 3/8-inch cold rolled steel with a corrosion-resistant surface. Users supply their own locks, chains and cables to suit their specific application.

Beyond safeguarding contracting equipment and supplies against theft, P-Locks is a practical solution for securing and anchoring a wide variety of items, including, but not limited to:

Off-road vehicles and dirt bikes

Yard and construction signs

New trees

Tents and camping supplies

Patio furniture

Sports and playground equipment

Bicycles

Independent testing has confirmed the effectiveness of P-Locks. Pulling P-Locks vertically out of the ground required 1,700 pounds of force. Horizontal removal required 2,900 pounds. Most thefts occur when criminals spot an opportunity, but P-Locks makes these random acts virtually impossible.

"Your property is not protected until it's P-Locked," adds Vazquez.

P-Locks, LLC has more products in the development pipeline, including both theft prevention devices and home improvement tools.
