Adam Robinson to Discuss Predicting Success of New Hires at the August 19 Conference in Orlando, FL

CHICAGO -- August 18, 2015: Recent studies show that women hold 80 percent of vehicle buying decisions1, yet women hold only 25 percent of jobs in the automotive industry2. With a wealth of knowledge on recruiting and hiring practices, Adam Robinson – co-founder and CEO of the leading data-driven selection management platform, Hireology – will be speaking at the first annual Women in Automotive Conference to give insight on tools and techniques employers can use to recruit and retain a diverse and successful team.

“It’s not that there isn’t the female talent out there to fill positions in the automotive industry – it’s that employers often don’t even know how to get women in to interview”

The conference—which runs from August 18 to 20 at The Ballroom at Church Street in Orlando, Fla.—was created with the goal of “assisting the automotive community in recruiting, retaining, and developing female employees and leaders.” Robinson’s session focuses on predicting success of a candidate’s potential performance and shares how to discover the four “super-elements” that predict a likelihood of success in any job. The ultimate goal is to help companies hire individuals who fit the team based on personality, skill and learning potential.

“It’s not that there isn’t the female talent out there to fill positions in the automotive industry – it’s that employers often don’t even know how to get women in to interview,” said Robinson. “Whether women are discouraged by the phrasing or word choice in the job description or they perceive your organization to have a male-oriented culture, there are many things an employer can and should do to attract a diverse group of talent that will lead their organization to greater success than a homogenous team.”

At Hireology, Robinson has built a 50 percent female led leadership and engineering team by keeping himself accountable for the company culture and blocking all forms of gender-bias. The company was recently recognized for its culture and was included in Crain’s Chicago’s list of Best Places to Work in 2015.
