Fan Travels Over 25,000 Miles to Every NFL Stadium in a '67 VW Bus for Documentary and Book

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 2, 2016 -- Foam Finger Nation Films founder Rhett Grametbauer, an intensely passionate football fan, writer, filmmaker, entrepreneur and proud owner of a 1967 split-window VW Bus decided to leave to live a childhood dream of visiting every NFL stadium in one season. The choice of transportation for the anthropological adventure of a lifetime is Rhett's beloved VW Bus, "Hail Mary" who introduces an element of danger and unpredictability to the trip. Accompanied by fellow football fan and producer, Grayson Berry, the two adventurers set out to discover the world through the colorful lens of NFL Fans. Their travels take them to every stadium, 32 games in 16 weeks to live the experience that is the book and documentary film, 25,000 Miles to Glory.
The four-month journey involves a leprechaun and a king, a Red Ford Pinto, traveling therapist and countless other larger than life characters that live and die with their teams. The film and book is a sports wanderlust and travel memoir covering four months and over 25,000 miles of American roadways, documenting the human spirit through football, freedom, friendship, and America.
The story of Rhett and the legend of Hail Mary have been featured on the NFL Network, ESPN2, Sports Illustrated, Huffington Post, and many others. The film premiered in Canton, Ohio on August 4th during the Pro Football Hall of Fame weekend and is available on iTunes, Google, Amazon, Vudu, Playstation, and many other VOD platforms. The book was released on October 20th on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.com.
"The more miles we traveled, stadiums we saw, and people we met, I began to see 25,000 Miles to Glory as more than just about football. The message of living a dream resonated with a lot of people and the letter we received from a military veteran who lost both of his lower legs in combat was life-changing for me. I owe a lot to those serving in the military whose sacrifice allowed me to live this dream and now I want to give something back to them," proclaimed Rhett.
Rhett has started a Kickstarter campaign to help donate a copy of his book, 25,000 Miles to Glory to actively deployed members of the military through the non-profit, Operation Paperback. "Our network of football fans is extends literally around the world and it is my hope that we can spread the message of 25,000 Miles to Glory to make a difference in the lives of others," said Rhett.
