DUNDEE, N.Y., Sept. 26, 2017 -- It may not be the first web series about wine, but for the wine aficionado that dreams of quitting their day job and working a wine grape harvest, it certainly may be the best.  Bellangelo, continues to be a leader in the New York wine industry, and standout producer in the Finger Lakes AVA, as well as a leader in consumer wine education.

The series emerged on the Bellangelo Facebook and Twitter page under its handle @BellangeloWine on September 19, 2017, as well as its YouTube page. The series promised consumers a chance to follow winemaker, Christopher Missick, as the boutique winery set out to take followers on a journey through the grape harvest, crush, and the winemaking process.  With a diverse portfolio, ranging from sparkling wine to late harvest Riesling, as well as cold climate expressions of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, the interested observer is sure to learn a great deal in these entertaining, 1-2 minute videos.

"The concept is something that came to me several years ago while working in the tasting room one weekend during harvest," Chris Missick stated.  "A common question is, 'what's going on in the cellar right now?'  I decided, let's pull the curtains back and let people see what goes on day-today during harvest."

Although many wineries focus on educating consumers about their wines, Bellangelo stands apart due to its extraordinary efforts.  From the book, A Sense of Place, to the winery's Riesling Experience, to its current effort with the 2017 Harvest Journal, Bellangelo's emphasis on detail is seen not just in the quality of its wines, but in the volume of great material it produces.

"We're inviting winemaking Q&A on our Facebook page as well," Missick adds.  "We want the consumer to know they are a part of this process, and to understand our diverse vineyard sites, as well as our unique, philosophical approach to wine."

Bellangelo is a family owned winery beautifully situated in the Finger Lakes on the West side of Seneca Lake, one mile south of the Herman J. Wiemer Winery.  Bellangelo wines are distributed by Opici Family Distributing.  The Missick family operates a Finger Lakes wine country lifestyle boutique for wine and foods as Branch, currently located in Geneva, NY, and intends to launch a new premium winery entitled 35 Locks in 2018 adjacent to an entirely re-modeled golf course which is also scheduled to launch in 2018, in Geneva, NY.
