Electric Drive Report

Statement of EDTA President Genevieve Cullen on incentives for electric drive

“Incentives that promote electric drive are working as intended – to ensure the nation continues to lead in transportation efficiency and innovation while enhancing our energy and economic security.

“Electric drive technologies bolster the economy throughout the U.S. supply chain while helping consumers save energy dollars. At this time of intense global competition from China and other nations, our national policies should advance our leadership position in the market.

“Critical policies include reinforcing manufacturer and consumer investment in electric drive vehicles and infrastructure. Prematurely ending the incentives that are working to ensure that the U.S continues to lead in electric drive innovation is counter to our vital national interests.”
