Main Street Duncan will host the 12th annual Cruisin’ the Chisholm Trail car and motorcycle show on Friday, April 19th and Saturday, April 20th. A poker run is slated for Friday evening across Stephens County and the Car Show will take place on Saturday in downtown Duncan.

Registration for the Poker Run will take place at the corner of 10th St. and Walnut Ave., beginning at 6:00 PM on Friday. There will be five stops along the route: registration at Timmins Service Station, then off to Old 81 tattoo, to the Byford building in Comanche, back to Osage Country Auto Sales, next to the Chisholm Trail Casino, and ending at Byford Auto located at the Lawton Duncan Y. Food and entertainment will be provided. Cost for dinner is $5 and includes BBQ, chips, and drink. Cost to participate in the Poker Run is $10.00/car and $5 for additional cards or passenger card. The route is small so it can be accomplished in the short time frame. Main Street hopes this will go well and, if so, will plan larger Poker Runs in the future.

“The Poker Run is something new we are trying this year,” said Main Street Duncan Director, Destiny Ahlfenger, “and we hope everyone enjoys this as an alternative to the cruise we traditionally host.”

Saturday, April 20th will begin bright and early with registration from 8:00-11:00 AM at the corner of 12th St. and Main St. Entries are $20/vehicle. There are 29 categories with awards given to first and second place. Special awards for Best Paint, Best Engine, Best Interior, Longest Distance Traveled, Best Club Participation, Kid’s Choice Award, and City of Duncan pick are offered as well. Judging will begin at 11:00 AM. The burnout contest has been moved to Saturday at 2:30 PM at 12th and Main St. The Awards Ceremony will begin at 4:00 PM at 12th St. and Main St as well. The Main Street retailers will be open and there will be street vendors and food trucks. Sponsored by Byford Auto of Duncan, the car show has a Best in Show prize of $500.

“We have more vendors than in year’s past registered,” said Main Street Duncan Car Show Co-Chairperson, Jeff Bruehl “and seeing as how we doubled our participation from last year’s March cruise –we’re hoping that is an indicator that our show participants will double in number too.”
