GasBuddy Touts Top 101 Fuel and Convenience Brands

Buc-ee's, Casey's General Stores, Kwik Twip and Hy-Vee are among the top performers across the ratings categories.

BOSTON – GasBuddy has launched a new ranking of the Top 101 Fuel and Convenience Brands for its Q1 2019 Report Card. Based on more than two million ratings submitted by GasBuddy app users between January 1 and March 31, this list compares the performance of fuel and convenience brands in the “overall experience” category.

The report also examines fuel and convenience retailers—segmented by number of store locations—across the categories of cleanliness, coffee, customer service, outdoor lighting, restrooms and overall experience. Outdoor lighting received the most ratings out of any category, followed by customer service and cleanliness.

The Midwest and the South each have five fuel and convenience brands in the top 15 of GasBuddy’s Top 101 Fuel and Convenience Brands, making them the U.S. regions with the most top-rated brands.

Casey’s General Store (1,000-plus locations) and Buc-ee’s (30 to 49 locations) captured top ratings in their respective segments in all six categories, including cleanliness, coffee, customer service, outdoor lighting and overall experience. Kwik Trip (250 to 999 locations) and Hy-Vee (5 to 249 locations) rated highest in five of six categories, with Wawa and Weigel’s taking the top spot for highest rated gas station coffee in their respective segments.
