Still A Good Buy After All These Years

New for the 2022 Civic: a smooth exterior redesign, a refined and up-scaled interior, enhanced safety systems, MPG of 31 city and 39 highway 36 combined, and a base price of 21K.

The engine options remain unchanged, with a 158-hp 2.0-liter inline-4 on LX and Sport trims and a 180-hp 1.5-liter turbo-4 in EX/EX-L and Touring/Sport Touring trims. Its CVT keeps the shifts pretty unnoticeable (continuously variable transmission - an automatic transmission that can change seamlessly through a continuous range of gear ratios). The ride and handling are well-tuned and the result is a good solid feel to go along with its agility, responsiveness, and reliability.

The unbroken mesh panel concealing the air vents is a unique touch, and pleasant to the eye.
