Lexus has always been about comfort, style, and handling. With this 2023 model you can add terrific fuel economy, upgraded tech and safety systems. If you have a good-paying job, but a long commute, this car could be exactly what you are looking for.

The 2.0-Liter Inline-4 gas engine is paired with two high-output, permanent-magnet electric-drive motors with four driving modes: Sport, Normal, ECO, and EV drive. It handles all road types and weather types with ease, a seamless dance between the motors. Adaptive Cruise Control comes standard and is simply great for commutes as well as for freeways full of drivers cruising at slower-than-normal speeds. Do all that and get 42 mpg and a 400+ mile range and you've got a winner.

The infotainment system has been upgraded with controls via knobs, touchscreen, voice commands, and steering wheel buttons. Phone and mobile device connectivity is full-featured and expandable,

Looking like a targeting display from Star Wars, I was amused by the G Force display, but not enough to test it. If I lived closer to Auto Channel's racing pro David Coleman I would let him take the wheel to test it.

The powered front seats are deliciously comfy and have all the adjustments you need to make your body fit and feel well. Front Seat Leg Room 42.1 in Front Seat Headroom 35.7 in Front Seat Shoulder Room 55.1 in Front Seat Hip Room 53.8 in

The second row has some legroom challenges, however, if the folks up front give away a few inches, they are doable... Rear Seat Leg Room 33.1 in Rear Seat Headroom 36.3 in Rear Seat Shoulder Room 52.9 in Rear Seat Hip Room 52.3 in

...and besides that the back seaters get a cool view of the standard sun/moonroof!

Now for the utility part of this UX. The cargo space behind the second row is 17 cubic feet...

But fold those seats down and not only do you gain much more space......

but also there are two small storage areas on each side of the floor...

and by lifting that floor, lo and behold a bunch more storage.

Safety features include: Back-Up Camera Cross-Traffic Alert Blind Spot Monitor Lane Departure Warning Lane Keeping Assist ABS Tire Pressure Monitor Brake Assist Stability Control Traction Control

After you've driven this UX, you just want to drive it again, and thus passing the automotive litmus test with flying colors.
