Midgets: NAMARS and Brad Doty at Butler Battlegrounds

By LES MESZAROSLANSING, MI - On Saturday, September 12, the NAMARS Auto Value midgets will be at the Butler Battlegrounds Speedway for a 30-lap feature paying $3000 to win and $300 to start. Also, on hand that night will be former sprint car driver Brad Doty. Brad will be on hand to meet the fans and sign autographs. Ten years ago Brad was one of the top sprint car drivers in North America before he was paralyzed in a racing accident ending an illustrious career. Since that time Brad has remained close to racing and the fans, as he has become an outstanding TV racing commentator. Brad is a friend and former competitor of Butler Battlegrounds owner Denny Donaldson.
Besides the large midget purse, Putnam Hitch Products of Bronson, MI will be offering $100 to the driver that gains the most positions during the feature. Also, on the racing card that night will be the 410 sprints.
