EXCLUSIVE LIVE "TV ON THE NET" BROADCASTS FROM THE LOS ANGELES & DETROIT AUTO SHOWS

Unprecedented Auto Show Coverage of America's Two Most Important Auto Shows

For Immediate Release

AUTO CENTRAL, DECEMBER 21, 1998 - Once again, automobile shoppers and enthusiasts all over the world will be able to watch complete live coverage of the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show and the North American International Auto Show (commonly known as the Detroit Auto Show). The LA and Detroit Auto Shows, considered to be the premier consumer automotive expositions in the United States, will be available via The Auto Channel's Internetwork "http://www.theautochannel.com"

Similar to last year's inaugural Auto Show Internet broadcasts, The Auto Channel will present every manufacturers' press conference and new vehicle introduction unveiled during the respective shows' Media Days. Since these presentations are not open to the public, the broadcasts provide consumers with an exclusive advanced look at the newest models.

A noteworthy element of this year's broadcasts are the new associations between The Auto Channel and Blue Sky Productions, and Detroit television station WDWB-TV. Blue Sky Productions is the producer of "AUTOLINE DETROIT", a weekly half-hour news and discussion show, and "THE NIGHTLY AUTOMOTIVE REPORT", a live daily television news feature. Both "AUTOLINE DETROIT" and THE NIGHTLY AUTOMOTIVE REPORT" air on the PBS television station in Detroit. "AUTOLINE DETROIT" was recently added to The Auto Channel's regular Internet broadcast schedule. "THE NIGHTLY AUTOMOTIVE REPORT" will begin running live on TACH in January, 1999. Blue Sky Productions will provide a portion of the production equipment and personnel for the Detroit Auto Show Internet broadcasts. Blue Sky's production facilities will also become the Detroit home for other TACH television properties.

WDWB-TV, known as "WB20", is the Warner Brothers Television Network affiliate in Detroit, Michigan. The Auto Channel will be providing a full range of automotive content and information, beginning with the 1999 Auto Show broadcasts, for use on the WB20 website. New car reviews, pricing and comparison data, and video & audio programs will be a part of the TACH branded content.

Coverage of the Los Angeles Auto Show will begin on Tuesday, December 29th, with two jam-packed days of new vehicle introductions, press conferences, and celebrity interviews. Porsche, BMW, Buick, Ford, Nissan, Honda, and Lincoln are among the manufacturers scheduled to unveil new vehicles or significant updates.

Coverage of the North American International Auto Show from Cobo Center will commence on Sunday, January 3rd, and continue through Friday, January 8th. Ferrari, Cadillac, Jaguar, Saab, Saturn, Pontiac, Dodge and several other manufacturers have scheduled press conferences and introductions. Ford, GM, and Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge will also have concept car presentations.

All broadcasts and a complete program schedule will be available through The Auto Channel Internetwork at "http://www.theautochannel.com/cybercast/1999autoshows/index.html" and through the "WB20" website at "http://www.WB20Detroit.com".

The Auto Channel recently completed three days of live broadcasts from the Cycle World Int'l. Motorcycle Show in Long Beach, CA; and four days of live broadcasts from the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week Trade Show in Las Vegas. The Auto Channel currently has several hundred hours of on-demand streaming video and TV programs, all available to Internet users without any cost or obligation.

Internet users who wish to watch these Internet broadcasts will need the Windows Media Player, which is available free and can be downloaded from The Auto Channel.
