Chrysler Extends and Revises Consumer Incentives Program

    AUBURN HILLS, Mich., July 15 -- Chrysler Corporation
is extending and revising its national consumer incentives program,
which offers cash allowances or reduced interest rate financing to buyers of
certain 1996 and 1997 models.
    For most 1996 models, the program is extended through August 30, 1997.
For most 1997 models, it is extended through October 6, 1997.
    The program offers cash allowances to customers who buy or lease
new 1996 or 1997 models of these vehicles:
    Dodge Avenger, Caravan, Grand Caravan, Intrepid, Neon and Stratus;
Chrysler Cirrus, Sebring Coupe, Concorde and Town & Country; Plymouth Neon,
Breeze, Voyager and Grand Voyager; and Eagle Vision.
    It offers a choice of a cash allowance or reduced interest rate financing
to customers who choose the following models:
    1996 Chrysler New Yorker; 1996 Jeep(R) Cherokee SE, Sport, Classic
and Country; 1996 Dodge Dakota; 1996 and 1997 Eagle Talon, Chrysler LHS,
Dodge Ram Van and Dodge Ram Wagon.
    The program offers reduced interest rate financing on 1997 Jeep
Grand Cherokee through September 2, 1997.
    Here is a summary of the program's details.  Except where indicated, the
incentives on 1996 models are effective through August 30, 1997, and the
incentives on 1997 models are effective through October 6, 1997.  There are no
changes in the dollar amounts of the cash allowances available.

    25 - 36 mo. = 4.9%
    37 - 48 mo. = 5.9%
    49 - 60 mo. = 6.9%

    for Talon:

    for 1996 Jeep Cherokee SE/Sport/Classic/Country; 1996 Dodge Dakota;
    1996-97 Ram Van/Wagon:
