Ewing will now promote the expansion of the natural gas vehicle market on a national level through his new role as chairman of the board for the Natural Gas Vehicle Coalition (NGVC). Ewing's unanimous selection by the NGVC Board of Directors was announced today at the NGVC's 9th Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ewing will begin his two-year term as the Coalition's chair immediately. "If the United States is to reduce its dependence on foreign oil and achieve its clean air goals, the use of NGVs nationwide must increase substantially. The NGV industry is on the threshold of dramatic growth and I'm excited about being given the opportunity to lead the Coalition during this time," said Ewing. The NGVC is a national organization dedicated to the cooperative development of a growing, sustainable and profitable natural gas vehicle market. The NGVC represents over 200 natural gas companies, equipment manufacturers and service providers, as well as environmental groups and government organizations interested in the promotion and use of natural gas as a transportation fuel.
