Ford Division Sponsors the UniverSoul CircusDETROIT, Sept. 10 -- Ford Motor Company is sponsoring the UniverSoul Circus, an African-American troupe, September 12 through October 5 at Detroit's Chene Park. The circus has entertained thousands of children and adults around the country with high-flying aerial acts, a unicycle troupe, dancing animals, clowns and magic acts -- all with a cultural flavor that will delight its audience. UniverSoul Circus opened its first show in Atlanta in 1994. Founded by Cedric Walker, it is the only African American owned and operated circus in the world. Ford Division has designated Tuesday, September 16 as "Ford Night." Detroit-area Ford dealers are offering $5 coupons that can be redeemed at the Chene Park box office for the 7:30 p.m. show. "We're very proud to be a sponsor of The UniverSoul Circus," says Darryl Hazel, General Marketing Manager - Ford Division. "Ford's support will help provide entertainment to people of all ages."
