Saleen Performance Chooses Pirelli at SEMASpecialty Vehicle Manufacturer Selects Scorpion Tire as Original Equipment For New Saleen Explorer IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 5 -- Saleen Performance, the specialty vehicle manufacturer of high-performance Mustangs for more than a decade, has chosen to utilize Pirelli's Scorpion tires as original equipment on the company's Saleen Explorer Performance Utility Vehicle. Unveiled at the 1997 SEMA Show, the Saleen Explorer features 255/55HR-18 Scorpion radials. The high-performance Sateen Explorer features revised styling, improved handling and enhanced performance with a powerful 286 hp engine. Saleen Performance is the largest manufacturer of specialty vehicles, producing nearly 4,000 high-performance cars since its inception in 1984.
