Top Drivers Headline Motorsports Expo '98 at Novi Expo Center

    NOVI, Mich., Dec. 30 -- Appearances by NASCAR Winston Cup
stars Mark Martin and Kyle Petty plus drag racing legend Shirley Muldowney
will be top attractions at Motorsports Expo '98, taking place January 3-4,
1998 at the Novi Expo Center.
    Also scheduled to appear will be NASCAR Super Truck racer Bob Keselowski,
Busch Grand National driver Mike McLaughlin, NHRA funny car driver Ron Capps,
Miss Budweiser unlimited hydroplane drivers Mark Weber and Mark Tate, and AMA
racers Scott Parker and Jay Springsteen.
    Family fun is the hallmark of this year's event.  Kids of all ages can get
a photo taken in a real race car and play thrilling race games.  They can
watch exciting live radio control racing competition or even try their hands
at the controls themselves.
    Other highlights of Motorsports Expo '98 include race team display
trailers, spectacular corporate racing exhibits and show vehicles from all
types of racing.  Prizes such as tickets to major races and rare collectible
items will be given throughout the weekend to lucky show attendees.
    The Hall of Fame's exhibit at Expo '98 will showcase a Cyber Sweepstakes
offering a grand prize "Evening With the Stars."  Winners will receive premium
tickets to the Hall's glittering black-tie Induction Ceremony in June,
complete with complimentary limousine service and formalwear.
    In addition, the show includes Michigan's best racing memorabilia and
collectibles show with vendors selling die cast vehicles, posters, wearables,
automotive art and autographed items.
    Admission is $5 and includes entrance to the Motorsports Museum and Hall
of Fame.  Admission for children under age 10 is free.  Proceeds benefit the
ongoing programs of the Motorsports Hall of Fame.  The Novi Expo Center is
