Toyota Launches Enhanced Website; Interactive State Map Allows Viewers to See Toyota's Investment in Local Area

NEW YORK, Jan. 12 -- Toyota Motor Corporate Services (TMCS)
announced today an enhancement of Toyota's corporate website. Designed to
allow users to read about Toyota's investment in their local area, the state
map section of the This is Toyota USA site is accessible either directly at
http://www.toyota.com/usa or as a link off any of Toyota's other U.S.
websites.
This site offers a window into Toyota's North American presence within
each state. Facts and information of local interest illustrate the story of
Toyota's strength in North America. An interactive map allows the user to
learn detailed information about Toyota's positive presence in each state.
"The interactive map clearly illustrates Toyota's vast presence and
expansion across the U.S.," said Timothy Andree, Corporate Manager, External
Affairs at TMCS. "The map allows users to easily find information about
Toyota that pertains to their local communities."
Information available on the state maps includes:

-- Local Investment in Quality Jobs - provides a glimpse of Toyota's
employment in each state including sales, manufacturing, research and
         design
-- Parts Purchasing - lists components parts, purchased from local
suppliers that go into our vehicles
-- Support of Local Communities - highlights Toyota's philanthropic
activities in the local communities where we do business

Toyota is the fourth largest automotive manufacturer in the United States,
with technical and manufacturing sites in six states. Toyota's sales,
manufacturing, technical, and dealership operations account for more than
102,000 jobs in North America.
Last year, more than 729,000 vehicles were assembled in our North American
plants for local markets and export. With new plants in Indiana and West
Virginia on the way, Toyota will be adding more production and more jobs to
its U.S. operations.
