First 'New World of Audi' Dealer Opens

First 'New World of Audi' Dealer OpensGREAT NECK, NY, March 27 -- Biener Audi, the first dealership to meet the full design criteria for stand-alone dealerships set forth by Audi of America, Inc., will celebrate its Grand Opening Saturday, March 28th. This new look, referred to by Audi as "the New World of Audi," will soon appear nationwide. Customers walking into Biener Audi, or any of Audi's stand-alone facilities, will immediately notice the curvilinear designs both inside and out, the abundant use of glass, and the feeling of spaciousness defined by the high ceilings. These elements combine to create an open, inviting atmosphere where customers are free to explore and experience the brand. Customer seating is spread throughout the showroom where guests can pause, reflect and consider their vehicle desires in an environment free from pressure. Even the textures and colors of the materials used in the showroom remind one of the interior elements and luxurious feeling an owner gets inside their Audi. The design of this new facility is an adaptation of the concept created by Audi of America's parent company, Audi AG. It embodies the four defining elements of the Audi brand: human, passionate, leading and visionary. Audi AG's design is now being implemented in new dealerships across Europe. It was developed to enhance the brand image of Audi at the dealer level and increase brand recognition. In this manner, customers can enjoy a more consistent brand experience at any dealership they visit. "Our dealers are our primary point of contact with our customers," said Gerd Klauss, Vice President in charge of Audi of America. "It is dealers like Biener Audi that are investing in the brand, and they will see the greatest rewards in the form of increased customer satisfaction and sales." Biener is one of 26 exclusive Audi facilities in the U.S that are expected to be complete by the end of 1998. In addition to these stand-alone facilities, 108 U.S. dealers are implementing some form of brand separation by the end of this year. These dealers may not have a completely separate facility but will be further differentiating Audi from other marques that they may represent. Biener Audi is one of the five pilot dealers who embraced this concept in its developmental stage and is the first to celebrate its Grand Opening. They have represented the Audi brand since 1990 and sold 426 new Audis last year. SOURCE Audi of America, Inc.
