Hyundai Sales Up 28%

    FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., April 1 -- Hyundai Motor America
today announced sales of 9,767 vehicles for the month of March.  For the
month, Hyundai increased its sales by 28% compared to sales in March 1997.
Sales for the first two months of 199S also showed increases over 1997.

    Following is the sales breakdown:
