According to Corporate Relations Vice President Larry Givens, "AAA intends to issue checks to its 1.25 million auto policyholders within 30 days of receipt of funds from the MCCA. We expect to receive these funds on or before June 30, 1998 and have all checks mailed to policy holders by the end of July." In line with the Insurance Bureau's recent bulletin, checks will be issued to policyholders of record, March 18, 1998, the date of the premium refund decision by the MCCA. Givens added, "D'Annunzio's bulletin makes it clear that policy holders with vehicles insured on March 18, 1998 are entitled to the MCCA refund. It also provides that the MCCA refund be given to policy holders directly and promptly in the amount of $180 per vehicle. Refunds by check are consistent with the spirit and intent of the bulletin, credits are not." SOURCE AAA Michigan
