SRT Sidekick Covertly Monitors Bus Drivers

SRT SIDEKICK Helps Keep Tabs on School Buses
AIKEN, S.C., July 20 -- Savannah River Technologies, Inc.
(SRT) (OTC Bulletin Board: SVHR) recently received attention in the
Tallahassee Democrat after their vehicle monitoring device was covertly
installed and tested on a spare school bus in Leon County, Florida.
Transportation Director Dave Jones said "Parents are going to love this and
that's who we are here to serve." The SIDEKICK system provides transportation
directors with the information that they need to effectively manage and train
drivers on issues related to safety and better service. "I can find out how
fast a bus is going at braking stops on the route. I can look and say, 'Hmmm.
This driver is waiting just before the stop sign to brake,'" Jones offers.
"And that could explain extra wear and tear on the brakes." Over the next two
months SRT representatives will be exhibiting and demonstrating the SIDEKICK
at pupil transportation shows in Texas, Florida and New Mexico.
Similar to a "black box" in airplanes the unit automatically records date,
time, location, direction of travel, speeds, stops and stop details.
Information is recorded onto a PC card for uploading to a personal computer.
The SRT SIDEKICK Software provides summary information about a particular
trip's activity including maximum speeds traveled, total miles traveled and
total time on the road. By utilizing various switches and sensors, the
SIDEKICK can record activities such as activation of warning lights,
application of brakes, and the use of the crossing guard. The system can also
be used to verify student count and ensure that drivers are checking for
students at the end of each route.
SRT is the exclusive manufacturer and distributor for the SIDEKICK. SRT
is a public company whose stock is traded under the symbol SVHR. Information
concerning the availability of SRT stock may be obtained through Alpine
Securities Corporation in Salt Lake City, Utah. Additional information about
