BP and Mazda Team Up for Sports Car Give-Away
CLEVELAND, July 20 -- When was the last time you pulled into
a BP service station, filled up the tank, and drove off in a new 1999 Mazda
Miata. Sound too good to be true? For 11 lucky winners, the dream will
become reality as BP joins forces with Mazda to launch its summer sweepstakes
promotion.
To qualify, all you have to do is stop by a participating BP service
station and pick up an entry form or print your name, address and daytime
telephone number on a 3" x 5" piece of paper. Cleveland entrants should mail
this information to P.O. Box 8564, Prospect Heights, IL 60070. Columbus
entrants should mail to P.O. Box 8546, Prospect Height, IL 60070.
The BP sports car promotion runs from July 20 through August 16 in
Cleveland and Columbus. The promotion was launched earlier this summer in
Toledo, Dayton and Cincinnati where three lucky winners have already been
identified and are now the proud new owners of a Miata. There is one winner
per market.
"We will move the car to several participating BP sites throughout the
promotion period in each city so customers can get a good look at what could
become their next car," said Cliff Wilson, BP Manager of Advertising. The
sporty emerald green convertible comes with power steering, power windows, a
CD system and has a retail value of over $21,000.
There are approximately 7,500 BP branded sites in 31 states of which over
230 have BP Express super stores that carry a wide selection of products
including gourmet coffee and fresh baked goods.
