OKI(R) Awards Three Lucky Customers With a Mercedes Benz ML320 Sport Utility Vehicle

MT. LAUREL, NJ--August 17, 1998--Okidata announced today the three winners of its 1998 ML320 Turbo Program, a sales incentive program open to Value Added Resellers (VARs) and distributors, during a sales challenge period from May 1 through June 30 of this year.
Each of the winners was handed keys to a new Mercedes Benz ML320 4WD Sport Utility Vehicle along with a fully paid two-year lease. The lucky winners, Mr. Thomas Comey of Walker Technology in Cincinnati, OH, Ms. Jennifer Wilson of Tech Data in Clearwater, FL, and Ms. Elaine Abate of Infinity Technologies in Mississauga, Ontario were selected at random from a lottery comprised of over 38 thousand entries. Along with earning raffle entries based on their sales of OKI ML320 Turbo printers, VARs and distributors also earned bonuses based on sales totals during the sales challenge period.
"We're very glad the program has worked out so well for both VARs and distributors," said Stew Krentzman, senior vice president, marketing, Okidata. "We're sending a message to VARs and distributors across the country: Okidata wants you to succeed and we're demonstrating our commitment to you by supporting you every way that we can."
The ML 320 Turbo program complements Okidata's "Tank Tough(R)" VAR program which is now entering its second year. The "Tank Tough" VAR program includes reimbursement for cooperative advertising, meeting competitive pricing, additional margin opportunities for service-enhancement program sales and for sales to government or educational institutions.
In addition to margin opportunities, Okidata's "Tank Tough" VAR program offers Value Added Resellers ongoing technical and sales support throughout the entire sales cycle including self-paced training programs, free literature and joint sales calls.
