Nissan Announces Recall on 1995, 1996 TrucksGARDENA, Calif., Dec. 8 -- Today, Nissan announced a voluntary safety recall campaign on Trucks manufactured from March 1, 1995 through November 30, 1995 for the 1995 and 1996 model years. This safety recall campaign affects 104,000 vehicles in the United States and Canada. On some Trucks manufactured during this period, a rear lamp may not illuminate, because the metal tube in the lamp socket moves or separates from the plastic socket housing. This can result in the stop/tail combination lamp or the turn signal lamp not functioning. To repair this condition at no cost to the customer, Nissan will replace the light bulb sockets in the rear lamps. Customers of these vehicles are being contacted by Nissan and requested to schedule an appointment with a Nissan dealer to replace the light bulb sockets in the rear lamps. Committed to a high level of customer service, Nissan is working with its dealers to quickly address this condition for Truck customers.
