Lincoln Mercury Web Site Rated Excellent

    IRVINE, Calif., Dec. 18 -- Lincoln Mercury's Lincoln LS site
received the "Standard of Excellence Award" from the Web Marketing
Association.
    The 1998 WebAward's "Standard of Excellence" honor represents the backbone
of today's world wide web and is respected as the standard toward which all
corporate sites aim.
    The competition was judged by a team of independent professionals,
including media, advertising executives, site designers, corporate marketing
executives, and webmasters.   More than 500 sites were entered.
    The categories were Best of Industry, Outstanding Web and Standard of
Excellence.  The entries were judged on seven criteria:  design, innovation,
content, interactively, navigation, ease of use and use of technology.
