Jay Leno Named Contributing Editor At Popular Mechanics
NEW YORK--Jan. 28, 1999--Tonight Show Host To Pen Bi-Monthly Column
Heeeeeeere's Jay Leno...The King of late night "must-see" television is adding another gig to his already busy schedule. Leno was named contributing editor today of Popular Mechanics and will be turning his passion for cars and motorcycles into a bi-Monthly column for the top-rated men's magazine.
The bi-Monthly column, "Jay Leno's Garage," will debut in the March 1999 issue, available on newsstands on February 9, 1999.
In his column Jay will be talking about cars, motorcycles, collecting -- and "anything else that pops into his head!"

Jay Leno is the host of the Emmy award-winning and top-rated "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." Over the past six years, Leno has created his own unique late-night style with a combination of humor, talk and entertainment.
One of the country's premier comedians, Leno has appeared in hundreds of comedy shows around the United States during the past 20 years. He remains passionate about performing in front of live audiences and appears regularly in Las Vegas and on college campuses nationwide.
Leno is the author of a book titled "Leading with My Chin," which was published by HarperCollins and hit the bookstores this past fall. He has also published four versions of "Headlines," a series of books and desk calendars featuring his favorite funny newspaper headlines, and "Police Blotter," a book with humorous newspaper clips concerning police stories. Proceeds from the book sales of "Headlines" and "Police Blotter" go to charities.
