Avis Offers Arizona Travelers One-Way Rental Bargains
    GARDEN CITY, N.Y., April 2 -- Avis Rent A Car, Inc.
today announced it is offering exceptional one-way, time limited
rent a car bargains to Arizona based customers.  The daily rate for cars
rented in the program, designed to transfer a portion of the Avis fleet, is
$11.99.
    With this rate program, Avis customers traveling one-way, renting in
Arizona, can return the car to any location in California or specified
locations in Nevada with no drop-off charge.  Rentals are limited to a seven
day maximum and must be completed by June 30, 1999.
    "We are delighted to offer our customers these rental car values," said
F. Robert Salerno, Avis' President and Chief Operating Officer.  "In recent
years, we have changed the way we transfer our fleet and because of this we
can offer our customers real bargains."
    Customers traveling from Arizona to California should request rate code MN
and from Arizona to Nevada rate code MC when renting their car.
    Cars are subject to availability, which, at these special rates, is
limited, and certain restrictions apply.  Taxes, local government surcharges,
airport recoupment fees up to 12% at some locations and optional items such as
a loss damage waiver, additional driver fee and fuel service are extra.
    Travel vouchers may not be used for payment.  Rates are not discountable,
and cannot be used with any other coupons, promotions or special offers, and
require an advance reservation.  Renter must meet Avis age -- a minimum of
25-years-old -- and credit requirements.
