Dana's Industrias Serva Earns Prince Philip Award

Spanish Division Honored for Excellence in Environmental Industrial Management
    ZARAGOZA, Spain -- Dana Corporation announced today its Industrias 
Serva division received the Prince Philip Award for Business Excellence.  Prince Philip 
presented this award on behalf of the Spanish government's Ministry of Economy and 
Ministry of Industry and Energy to the Dana division for its excellence in 
environmental industrial management.

    Industrias Serva was selected for its significant efforts to comply with
the government's environmental regulations.  Recently, the company achieved an
84 percent reduction in waste management by initiating such projects as
substituting many of its raw materials with less waste-generating materials.

    Part of Dana's Engine Systems Group, Industrias Serva is one of the
world's leading sealing system providers.  In 1998, it was granted the
environmental certification, ISO 14001, which endorses a company with high
environmental priorities.  Industrias Serva is one of the first hundred
companies in Spain to earn this certification.

    Dana Engine Systems Group provides components, modules, and complete
systems solutions to engine builders worldwide.  The group's product lines
include Victor Reinz(R) gaskets and sealing products, Perfect Circle(R) piston
rings and engine parts, Glacier(R) Vandervell(R) engine bearings, fluid system
products, and Plumley powertrain components.

    Dana Corporation is one of the world's largest independent suppliers to
vehicle manufacturers and the aftermarket.  Founded in 1904 and based in
