Feuling 'Centerfire' Cylinder Head Passes CARB TestingVENTURA, Calif., June 17 -- The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has issued E.O. # D-481 to Feuling R&D for their "Centerfire" two valve cylinder head designed for the big block GM engine including the Vortec 7400 and earlier 454 C.I. engines. Testing on the Vortec 7400 recorded tail pipe emissions at levels 25% cleaner than California emission standards. "Centerfire" cylinder heads are now available for sale in all 50 states. The new cylinder head is the latest design to come from the mind of Jim Feuling, president and founder of Feuling R&D. Utilizing the patented "Max Flow" valve design, "Centerfire" combustion chamber, and "High Velocity" intake and exhaust ports, these cylinder heads "bolt on" up to 100 lbs/ft of torque and 100 horsepower. These features increase thermal efficiency, octane tolerance, and lower brake specific fuel consumption for improved gas mileage. Jim Feuling has been an automotive pioneer for over 25 years and has developed products for O.E. manufacturers like Ford Motor Co., Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, and Harley-Davidson. The "Centerfire" head was designed specifically for the motorhome, tow vehicle, sportboat and mid-size cruiser markets. February '99 and March '99 articles in Hot Rod magazine feature this revolutionary new design. Prices for the complete kit start at $2,995.00.
