Free Upgrade and Discount Offers Extended by Auto Europe; Bonuses Now Valid Through July 31

    PORTLAND, Maine, July 8 -- Auto Europe has extended for one
month their guaranteed free one-class car upgrade and 5-10% discount for
rentals booked by July 31 for pick-up through December 31, 1999.  The upgrade
offer is valid for rentals in nine European countries:  Austria, Belgium,
Britain, Denmark, France, Germany, Holland, Italy and Switzerland.  In Italy,
it is valid for pickups by August 31, 1999.  The discount, which varies
depending on length of rental, is available on all European cars.
    With the double value combination of the upgrade and the discount, in
Germany, for example, a compact class Opel Astra or similar which is now
$107 per week will be upgraded to an intermediate Opel Vectra or similar
which usually is $130 per week.  Unlimited mileage and third party liability
are included.  Additional upgrade categories are also available in manual and
automatic transmissions.
    The upgrade offer, validity dates, available locations and applicable
car categories vary depending upon renting location.  The discount offer
applies to time and mileage only and all offers are subject to change without
notice and cannot be combined with any other promotion or discount.
