Budget Joins TWA Aviators Frequent Flyer Program

Triple Miles Offer Available to Members From September 1 to December 15, 1999

    LISLE, Ill., Aug. 26 -- Budget Rent a Car Corporation, the
world's third largest car and truck rental company and a wholly owned
subsidiary of Budget Group, Inc. , announced a partnership with TWA
Aviators(SM), Trans World Airlines' (Amex: TWA) frequent flyer program,
effective this month.
    To celebrate its new partnership with TWA, Budget is offering TWA Aviators
members triple miles (150 miles/paid rental day) from September 1, 1999 --
December 15, 1999, for any rental on standard or CorpRate rates of three days
or longer.  To receive triple miles, TWA Aviators members should refer to
their August/September newsletter for the special Budget Triple Miles Insert.
Advance reservation is required, and blackout dates apply.  The offer may not
be combined with any other promotional offer, and customers may only earn
miles/points/credits in one frequent traveler program for each qualifying
rental.
    TWA serves 133 destinations in 18 countries throughout North America, the
Caribbean, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.  As a new partner, TWA Aviators
members can earn 50 Aviator miles per paid rental day for each qualifying
rental at participating Budget locations worldwide.  Members must present
their TWA Aviators portfolio card at the time of rental, fly on TWA or any
other partner airline in the Aviators program, and rent within 24 hours of the
flight.  Partner airlines include Air India, Alaska Airlines/ Horizon Air,
Icelandair, Royal Jordanian Airline and Trans World Express.

    Members of the TWA Aviators program also will enjoy Budget Fastbreak, the
company's express service with paperless transactions.  Available at more than
110 major market airports throughout the U.S., Fastbreak gets customers in
their cars and on the highway in a matter of seconds.  Members can enroll at
one of more than 900 participating Budget locations across the U.S. and more
than 150 Budget locations throughout Canada.  Enrollment forms also can be

    In addition to the TWA Aviators program, Budget is a partner in select
domestic and international airline frequent flyer programs including
Aeromexico Club Premier, Air Canada Aeroplan, Air France Frequence Plus, Air
New Zealand Air Points, Alaska Airlines Mileage Plus, Alitalia Mille Miglia,
American Airlines Advantage, British Midland Diamond Club, El Al Israel
Airlines Frequent Traveler Clubs, Lufthansa Miles & More, Northwest Airlines
WorldPerks, Reno Air QQuick Miles, Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards, Thai
Airways Royal Orchid Plus, United Airlines Mileage Plus and Virgin Atlantic
