The finalists will be selected and notified on or about October 10, 1999 via e-mail or phone. "In order to win the $1,000,000, 'wrencheads' must register for the contest at http://www.wrenchead.com and five finalists will be randomly selected and notified on, or about, October 10th," said Charlie Horsey, marketing director at Wrenchead.com. "Each finalist and a guest will be flown to the Atlanta Motor Speedway on November 21st for the last race of the season. The finalists must correctly predict the top five race finishers in order to get the $1,000,000. If there are any ties, the money will be split between the winners." The five finalists will receive the following from Wrenchead.com: round-trip airfare for two (within the continental U.S.) to the race in Atlanta, lodging, Pre-Race Pit Tour, race tickets, $300 spending money, and a Wrenchead.com Prize Pak (Wrenchead Jacket, Wrenchead Hat and a Wrenchead Million Dollar Challenge Money Clip). 75 semi-finalists will receive a Wrenchead.com t-shirt, which will be delivered three to four weeks after selection via U.S. mail. On August 16th, the CBS Corporation acquired a 22% equity stake in Wrenchead.com, Inc. In exchange, Wrenchead.com, the company's Web site, will receive $33 million of advertising, promotion and other consideration, over a term of four years, across CBS's media properties, including television, radio and outdoor. Infinity Broadcasting Corporation , the Company's majority-owned out-of-home media subsidiary, will receive a pro rata share of the investment.
