IntelliChoice Announces September Gold Star Lease Winners

    CAMPBELL, Calif.--Sept. 15, 1999--Manufacturers are offering fewer and fewer subsidized leases but those that are available are very good for consumers. This month, IntelliChoice has identified five leases that meet the criteria to be considered a Gold Star Lease. Once again Saab leads the list and now, based solely on the numbers, they're practically giving the Saab 9-3 away.
    Although manufacturers are in the midst of rolling out their 2000 model year vehicles, they must still move a large number of 1999 vehicles in inventory. Subsidized leasing is certainly one of the tools manufacturers will continue to utilize to move those vehicles, especially if interest rates continue to rise.
    The current lease offered by Saab is simply extraordinary. Rarely does a lease get this much assistance from the manufacturer. Each of this month's Gold Star Leases is for a 36 month term and in each case the monthly payment is fairly low. Consumers certainly have a good selection of passenger vehicles to choose from for under $400 per month. This month's Gold Star Leases are as follows.
