The Denver Post and Cars.com Introduce Local Internet Car Shopping Service
DENVER, Oct. 1 -- Cars.com today announced it has launched a
co-branded version of its automotive shopping Web site on The Denver Post
Online (DPO), http://www.denverpost.com , the Web site of The Denver Post.
DPO visitors now have online access to new and used vehicles from many
local car dealers (see attached list) and from The Denver Post automotive
classified advertisements. This agreement also expands the national presence
of the cars.com site to include listings on nine out of ten of the most
visited local newspaper Web sites in the United States.
The number of dealers in the Rocky Mountain region has created a real need
for an online service that puts local car buyers in touch with their local
automotive dealers, said Gerald Grilly, President and Publisher of The Denver
Post. The new relationship between The Denver Post and cars.com gives
residents a content-rich automotive car buying resource that combines the
power of the Internet with the reach of Colorado's largest circulated
newspaper, The Denver Post.
By clicking on cars.com on The Denver Post Web site, http://www.denverpost.com ,
local consumers can now search for new and used vehicles from local dealership
inventories and The Denver Post automotive classified listings, while
accessing a wide range of practical information including "Child Seat Safety:
A Parents Guide," insurance and finance quotes, and independent automotive
reviews.
By partnering with the leading newspaper in the Rocky Mountain region,
cars.com provides a strong local market community for both car shoppers and
participating dealerships, said Mitch Golub, general manager, cars.com. Area
residents now have access to thousands of new and used vehicle listings from a
one-stop resource containing some of the richest automotive content on the
Internet.
