Motor Trend Magazine Names the Nissan Xterra 2000 Sport/Utility Vehicle of the YearANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 20 -- C. Van Tune, MOTOR TREND's editor-in-chief, presented the Motor Trend "SUV of the Year" award to Gary Van Houten, Nissan's Corporate Manager, Model Line Marketing for the Nissan Xterra. The event took place at the Anaheim Marriott in conjunction with the California International Auto Show. In naming the winner, MOTOR TREND applauded the Xterra's modern styling, outstanding value, versatile range of options, fun-to-drive nature, youthful twist and appealing sticker price.
