Stumped for the Perfect Automotive Christmas Gift? Chicago Auto Show's First Look for Charity Tickets Are AvailableCHICAGO, Nov. 29 -- They're small, tasteful, tuck easily into a stocking hung over the chimney with care, satisfy every whim of the autophile in anyone's home -- and each one benefits 12 terrific charities. Tickets for the 2000 Chicago Auto Show's First Look for Charity make a perfect holiday gift. Set for Thursday evening, Feb. 10 from 7-10:30 p.m., the elegant black-tie event has become a "must attend" on the crowded Chicago social calendar. Chicago Auto Show Chairman Bill Stasek is pleased to announce that the evening's special gift to someone in attendance will win the newly restyled Chevrolet Suburban. "With the sport utility segment of the market on fire we couldn't have a better vehicle for appeal," said Stasek. "Of course, as a Chevy dealer I might be considered biased, but who wouldn't want one of these magnificent Suburbans? Obviously, those who benefit most from this event are our charities, but the possibility of winning certainly adds to the excitement of the evening." Tickets are $125 and all proceeds go directly to the organizations. "The Chicago Automobile Trade Association's members are extremely proud of this night," said association chairman Dan Feeny. "We underwrite the cost of the night's extensive food and beverage service. It's really unequalled anywhere."
