American Isuzu Motors Inc. Reports Record Rodeo; Strong Trooper November Sales Combined Increase: 28 Percent

    CERRITOS, Calif., Dec. 7 -- American Isuzu Motors Inc.'s SUV
division, today reported remarkably strong November sales of Rodeo and
Trooper.
    The new-generation Rodeo had its best ever November retail sales, out
performing last November by 1102 units, with 5282 units sold.  This is a sales
increase of 25 percent compared to last November and is the fourth consecutive
month of sales gains for the Rodeo.  Year to date Rodeo retail is up 9.1
percent vs. 1998 retail for the same period.
    November retail sales for Trooper, Isuzu's flag ship luxury compact SUV,
climbed just over 36 percent for the month compared with November '98.
Trooper sales in November '99 totaled 1734.  Year to date, Trooper retail is
up 4.4 percent vs. 1998 retail for the same period.
    "November exceeded our expectation," said Gary Tucker, vice president SUV
sales, "our top selling Rodeo and our luxury compact Trooper each had
outstanding months.  I'm confident this is just a preview of what we'll see as
our new 2000 models boasting our new 10 year/120,000 mile Powertrain Limited
