Is Your Car A Lemon? Carfax.com Adds Lemon Titles to Help Northwestern Consumers Avoid Bad Cars
FAIRFAX, Va., Dec. 27 -- Used car buyers can now rest even
easier. Carfax.com, the nation's leading provider of vehicle history
information, today announced the addition of thousands of Washington lemon
cars to its 980 million-record-strong database. Carfax.com continues to have
consumers covered in the Northwest, with information to make used vehicle
buyers "car smart." Consumers can check to see if the used car or truck
they're considering buying is a lemon by using the Free Lemon Check at
http://www.Carfax.com.
Just what do these records mean to the consumer? In addition to the other
valuable information in a Carfax.com report, such as flood damage, odometer
fraud or totaled-vehicle information, consumers can see manufacturer buyback
records for Washington vehicles. Now used car buyers can either trust the
seller who says the vehicle is cherry, or uncover any lemons with records from
the Washington Department of Motor Vehicles.
"I just wanted to thank you for your great online service," says Pat
Benton from Washington. "The vehicle history report I received saved me from
buying a $9000 lemon. I'll be telling all my friends about Carfax."
Consumers should ask their used car dealer to provide a detailed vehicle
history. Participating Carfax dealers can be located at http://www.Carfax.com. If
not available through a dealer, consumers can visit Carfax.com to purchase 60
days of unlimited access to the company's database for $19.95. Individuals
who purchase and receive Carfax reports that confirm a clean title history
automatically receive the Clean Title History Guarantee worth 10% of the value
of their vehicle up to $1,000. Used car dealers interested in signing up for
the Carfax service should call 800-444-0145.
