Ford to Webcast Events From North American International Auto Show 2000DEARBORN, Mich., Jan. 6 -- For the first time, the doors to the exclusive media previews of the North American International Auto Show will be open to the world when Ford Motor Company broadcasts live its seven news conferences over the Internet. The webcasts, beginning at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9 on http://www.ford.com , will give consumers the chance to witness firsthand the unveilings of new production and concept vehicles, and technologies. In addition, Ford will webcast the first hour of activities within its stand of the black-tie charity event on Friday, Jan. 14. Each webcast will combine streaming audio and video, and will be available at different speeds to accommodate the needs of various users. Each visitor to the site will need either Windows Media Player or Real Player software to see the event. Links to download the software of the different players are available on http://www.ford.com . Sooner."
