Dollar Rent A Car First Car Rental Company to Launch Travel Web Site, DollarTravel.com

    TULSA, Okla., Jan. 13 -- Dollar Rent A Car Systems, Inc., a
subsidiary of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. , today
launched the first full-service travel Web site sponsored by a car rental
company.
    The independent new site, DollarTravel.com, offers consumers user-friendly
online access to airlines, hotels and competitive car rentals.  Powered by
TRIP.com, consumers will have access to more than 500 airlines, 40,000 hotel
properties and 45 car rental companies.
    "Dollar Rent A Car's primary customer is the price-sensitive discretionary
traveler who is looking for value," Fred Fleischner, Vice President, Sales and
Marketing, says.  "They trust the Dollar name.  We feel the development of
DollarTravel.com is a natural product extension, providing these price-
sensitive consumers with yet another channel to shop a variety of competitive
online travel choices."
    To celebrate the launch of DollarTravel.com, Dollar, United Airlines
Mileage Plus(R) and Sheraton Waikiki, are giving away a trip to Waikiki,
Hawaii.  Beginning today through February 15, 2000, customers can log on to
the site http://www.dollartravel.com for more detailed information and for
instructions on how to enter the sweepstakes.
