Las Vegas Is Just Two Movies Away With Datron's ``CruiseTV'' In-Motion Satellite Tracking System

SIMI VALLEY, Calif.--Jan. 27, 2000-- Datron/Transco Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Datron System Inc. , found an enthusiastic audience for its newest product at the Consumer Electronics (CES) trade show in Las Vegas early this month.
Attendees witnessed the latest innovation in the world of mobile entertainment as Datron showcased its third-generation of "CruiseTV"(TM), an all-new portable in-motion satellite television reception system for vans and SUVs.
"We received a tremendous amount of press during the show. Several interviews were held with print as well as television media, including CNN and CBS (the CNN interview aired on the 20th of this month)," stated Rick Carver, director of Datron's DBS Products Division.
"What really excited us, though, was the positive feedback we received from dealers and end users alike. The new 'CruiseTV' (model DBS-4500) Portable In-Motion Satellite Television System combines our satellite television tracking capabilities with an easy-to-use, easy-to-install, plug-n-play feature.
"So folks can watch their favorite programming from either DIRECTV(R) or DISH Network(R) satellites while traveling down the road. With 'CruiseTV,' Las Vegas is just two movies away from Los Angeles, not four hours!
"And, with the new portable container, it can be transferred from vehicle to vehicle, or simply be put into storage in just a couple of minutes," Carver added.
Since pioneering in-motion satellite tracking technology for over-the-road use nearly fours ago, Datron has continued to improve upon and introduce new variations of the technology. The new "plug-n-play" enclosure was designed specifically to meet the ever-increasing demand for mobile entertainment solutions in the fastest-growing segment of the mobile market, SUV and van conversions.
Live television solutions were previously available only in the form of a simple and not very effective off-air antenna, which generally works only marginally while in a major metropolitan area.
Datron recognizes this as an excellent opportunity to capitalize on the digital satellite TV revolution, while setting the standards in terms of quality engineering, robust design and sophisticated capabilities, combined with easy-to-use product features.
