WILD IN THE SKY OVER IRWINDALE!

3 March 2000

FreeRide Moto-X Championships
"WILD IN THE SKY OVER IRWINDALE"
SATURDAY NIGHT, MARCH 11, 2000

(Irwindale, Calif.) - - It's arguably the most extreme sport on the planet.
Freestyle motocross. Intense athletic competition combined with absolute aerial
insanity as riders launch themselves across I00-foot chasms and perform an array
of heart-stopping, acrobatic tricks while sailing through the air. A world-class
field of the best of these freestyle motocross jumpers, including stars of the
X-Games, NBC's Gravity Games, as well as films like "Crusty Demons of Dirt",
are confirmed to be competing at Irwindale Speedway on Saturday night, March
11, at 7 PM.

That evening, Irwindale Speedway will be transformed into a wild freestyle motocross
playground with a combination of some 5,000+ cubic yards of dirt and six steel
ramps.

Riders like Carey "Vegas" Hart, Brian Deegan of the notorious Metal Mulisha,
world distance record holder Mike Cinqmars, Mike "The Godfather" Metzer, Mad
Mike Jones and Clifford "The Flyin' Hawaiian" Adoptante, among others, will do
battle on the diabolical course designed by Micky Dymond, a two-time AMA world
champion and a pioneering figure in the sport of freestyle motocross.

This special event at Irwindale kicks off the 2000 TheEdgeSports.com FreeRide
Moto-X tour, made up of six events, each will be covered by both ESPN and espn2.
Uni-Filter is an associate sponsor of the tour, the rest of the sponsorship
package will be announced shortly.

In two short years, the sport of freestyle motocross has gone from top motocross
riders one-upping each other in expression sessions in the desert; to a legitimate,
sanctioned competitive sport with television ratings dwarfing traditional motocross
racing. It is the only action sport combining the appeal of motorsports with
extreme sports, and its appeal crosses over from young kids to die-hard race
fans, to tattooed Gen X'ers.

Tickets available by phone through Ticketmaster, on www.Ticketmaster.com, or
at the Speedway's on-site ticket offices. Ticket prices are: $20 adults, $12
kids under 12 and children under 5 free. Pit passes available for $10. This
event is sanctioned by the World Freeriders Association.
