Ford Division Mustang Brand Team Sponsors the Fun Ford Weekend Series

    DEARBORN, Mich., April 26 Once again this year Ford
Division Mustang Brand Team is sponsoring the Fun Ford Weekend Series.  This
weekend series includes; drag racing, car shows, Ford dealer displays,
manufacturer's midway and car corral.  This year's FFW consists of auto
enthusiast events held nationwide.
    The series attracts over 300,000 spectators and participants nationwide.
This festival of exciting Ford power features Heads-Up Classes, Open
Competition Classes and Bracket Racing Classes for a cash purse of over
$500,000.  A highlight of the series is the popular Muscle Mustangs & Fast
Fords True Street race where owners of street legal Ford vehicles are given
the opportunity to race.
    Fun Ford Weekend features a two-day car show with a venue for displaying
the ultimate in Ford's finest show quality automobiles.  Vehicles compete for
awards in either the Top Twenty Category or a Best in Class category.
Participants also get the opportunity to compete to get their vehicle featured
in Mustang Illustrated Magazine Editor's Choice Award.  Participation in the
show is open to all street rods, pick-up trucks and any other Ford powered
Ford vehicles.
    FFW is an organization developed 10 years ago by Ford enthusiasts.  The
theme of the weekend series was the promotion of Ford drag racing events.
This year Speedvision will cover three of the events along with a host of
magazines covering the event.  Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords, Mustang
Illustrated, Popular Hot Rodding, Drag Racing USA, Super Ford, 5.0 Magazine,
Drag Review, and National Dragster will provide coverage of the Fun Ford
Weekend.
