The Favorite Cars of Comparison Shoppers: June 2000

PALO ALTO, Calif. - InvoiceDealers, an online automotive shopping service,
released their study on the favorite cars, trucks, SUVs and minivans of online
comparison shoppers in June 2000.
About the Study
The Comparison Shopping Popularity Index(SM) calculates each vehicle's
popularity using a proprietary weighted formula. The study results are
derived from online selections made by car shoppers who view, compare, and
choose from instant competing price quotes on the InvoiceDealers system.
June Results
The Honda Accord reclaimed first place in Cars from the Chrysler
PT Cruiser, which fell to fifth after a 2-month reign. The Honda Civic took
second place, keeping the Toyota Camry at third.
The Ford F-Series continued to dominate Trucks for the fourth straight
month. Truck shoppers favored the F-series over any other pickup truck by
more than 2 to 1. The Dodge Ram ranked second for the fourth time in a row.
The Ford Explorer retained first place in Sport Utility Vehicles, a
four-peat of its own. The next most popular SUV was the Dodge Durango.
The Honda Odyssey also held its lead in the Minivan category. But the
Toyota Sienna shared the prize, tying for first in the June popularity index.
