CCC Introduces Web-Enabled Total Loss Solution to Automotive Claims Industry; Solution To Help Streamline the Claims Settlement Process

    CHICAGO - CCC Information Services Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of CCC Information Services Group Inc., , the leading supplier of solutions to the automotive claims industry, announced today that it has introduced the TL2000 Solution(TM) - a web-enabled total loss product created to streamline the claims settlement process.

    TL2000 Solution addresses two primary goals for the claims industry - reduce claims processing costs and increase customer satisfaction. To achieve these goals, the TL2000 Solution focuses on reducing claims cycle time and improving end customer communications through new Internet-based features such as Intelligent Email notification, a claims staff Internet site, an enhanced, consumer focused Market Valuation Report, and an industry first - a consumer Internet site.

    Email Notification provides immediate notification of a claim at the time a total loss is declared, allowing the settlement process to start immediately. The claims staff web site provides appraisers easy access to their total loss claims in a virtually paperless environment and enables communications between the insurer and the insured or claimant. CCC's enhanced consumer focused MVR clearly explains how the local market value was calculated, helping to eliminate potential questions during settlement.

    In addition, the TL2000 Solution offers an industry first, a consumer Internet site. This innovative Internet site allows consumers to check the status of their claim at their convenience, allowing them the opportunity to be an active participant in the settlement process.
