Auto Club to Name Ideal Consumer Vehicles; Seven Vehicles Top ``Target Car'' List for 2000

    LOS ANGELES--Sept. 5, 2000--The Automobile Club of Southern California will release its annual "Target Car Report," naming the top seven ideal passenger vehicles.
    For the first time the list will include both luxury and mid-priced vehicles. The top five best value vehicles, the top trucks and electric vehicles will also be announced. The report is based on surveys of Southern California drivers, asking them what they want in a car or truck. Braking, crashworthiness and fuel economy are some of the desired features.
