Advanced Exhaust Technologies' New Liberator Muffler Boosts Power in Older Trucks

    AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Dec. 12 The fuel-saving Liberator
muffler from Advanced Exhaust Technologies LLC (AET) breathes new life into
older trucks, adding from 5 horsepower to 15 hp and eliminating turbo lag, the
company said today.
    In test drives on various Class 8 truck configurations, under a wide
variety of load levels and weather conditions, the patented new Liberator
muffler has delivered fuel economy improvements of 0.3 miles per gallon to 1.2
mpg.  Most heavy trucks average between 5 mpg and 7 mpg.
